I. Introduction
LED (light emitting diode) is a semiconductor device that can emit light after being powered on. II. Composition of LED module
LED chip
The core component of LED module. LED chip emits light by the flow of current between P-type and N-type semiconductors. Different materials and structures can produce different colors of light.
Drive circuit

3. Working principle of LED module
The light-emitting principle of LED is based on the physical effect of semiconductors. When current passes through the LED chip, electrons migrate from the N area to the P area and combine with holes. This process releases energy and radiates in the form of light. The color of LED is related to the band gap properties of the semiconductor material used. Different band gap energies correspond to different light wavelengths, thus forming different colors, such as red, green and blue.

Classification by use
Lighting type LED module: used for indoor and outdoor lighting, such as lamps, street lights, billboards, etc.
Display type LED module: used for display screens and TVs, such as full-color LED display screens, traffic lights, etc.

Plug-in module: connected to the circuit by pins, easy to replace and repair.
Classification by color
Monochrome module: emits only one color of light.
